Pigmento Dark Steel 73123 Pigment FX Vallejo
Vallejo Pigment FX 73123 Dark Steel is a powder pigment to represent dark metals, burnt steel, burnished parts and polished edges. Its fine texture lets you apply it dry, blend it with a brush and create natural transitions over fully dry acrylic, enamel or lacquer paint.
It’s especially suited to weapons, engines, chains, exhausts and worn metal parts. You can use it directly on the surface for a dusty effect, fix it with Vallejo Pigment Binder 26233 or mix it with a medium to create deposits, crusts and heavier build-up.
The result is a muted metallic finish that can be gently polished to bring back shine on edges. For more realistic effects, combine several pigments from the Pigment FX Vallejo range and work in layers, from the lightest to the darkest tones.
