Tamiya X and XF Acrylic: gloss and matte colours for a professional finish

The Tamiya X and XF Acrylic range covers two finishes: X (gloss) and XF (matte). It includes solid tones, metallics and translucent Clear shades (e.g. X-22 Clear) for shine effects and protective coats. They work with a brush and, properly diluted, also with an airbrush.

The perfect base before colour

• Prep the surface with primer in thin coats to improve adhesion and evenness.
• Fix joints and small imperfections with putty and a light sanding with sandpaper.

Application: brush and airbrush

• With a brush: thin coats, letting it dry between coats for a clean finish.
