Assembly and prep

• Adhesives for styrene and fine parts.

• Sandpaper and files to adjust fits and smooth joints.
• Putty to close joints before priming.
• Masking tape — essential for cockpits, leading edges and camouflage.
• Tweezers and cutting mats to handle small parts and work safely.

Base paint and tools

• Primers to improve adhesion and spot imperfections.
• Acrylic paints (by brush or airbrush) for thin coats and smooth transitions.
• Auxiliary products: thinners, cleaners, mediums and decal solutions.

Panel lines, weathering and finishes

• Washes and inks to highlight panels, rivets and structure lines.
• Weathering FX for streaking, grease and engine grime.
• Pigment FX for runway dust and smoke.
• Diorama FX if you're building a base, terrain or water effects.
• Varnishes — gloss for decals; satin or matt at the end.

Recommended workflow

1. Dry-fit and adjust with sandpaper/file; glue with the right adhesive.
2. Putty, touch-up and control primer coat.
3. Base colour in acrylic; mask with tape for camouflage.
4. Decals over a glossy coat; washes, effects and pigments.
5. Seal with varnish to suit the finish you want.
