Game Color INK | Vallejo: acrylic inks for glazes and shadows

Game Color INK are highly pigmented, translucent acrylic inks, perfect for glazes, filters, boosting saturation and defining recesses without losing detail. They work with a brush and, diluted, also with an airbrush.

How to get the most out of them

• Prepare the mini with a light primer if you want luminous glazes.
• For even filters, work with the airbrush at low pressure and dilute with Airbrush Thinner.
• Control transparency using Glaze Medium (more working time and smooth transitions).
• For pearlescent effects, mix with Metallic Medium.
• If panel lining by capillary action, a prior coat of gloss varnish helps flow and cleaning up excess.

Are they very glossy? The inks tend towards a light satin finish; you can tone it down with matte varnish at the end. Can they be mixed with each other or with acrylics? Yes, mix inks with each other or with Vallejo acrylics; adjust transparency with Glaze Medium. Tip for clean panel lines? Use gloss varnish beforehand, apply INK by capillary action and clean up excess with a dampened brush.
