Pigment Binder Vallejo 26233 is an acrylic auxiliary medium formulated to fix pigments on models and dioramas while preserving their texture and colour. Its fluid consistency lets the product penetrate by capillary action between the pigment grains and the surface, sealing the effect with a clean matte finish, without unwanted shine once dry.
Application
- Place the dry pigment wherever you need the effect.
- Load a fine brush or dropper with Pigment Binder and gently touch the area: the product will rise by capillarity and fix the powder without dragging it.
- Let it dry and repeat the process if you want greater resistance.
- For volume and crusts, mix pigment with the binder until you obtain a paste and apply with a brush or spatula.
Compatibility and tips
Works over surfaces painted with fully cured acrylics, enamels or lacquers. It can be mixed directly with pigments from the range to adjust consistency and bonding strength. Keep in mind it may slightly darken the pigment tone when it saturates the powder, so test first in an inconspicuous area. Clean-up of tools with water and soap.
