Expo Tools tweezers for scale modelling and miniatures
Expo Tools precision tweezers are designed to hold small parts, photo-etch and decals with total control. Made from antimagnetic stainless steel (5"), they offer fine tips and a good grip for delicate work.Available models
- Stainless Steel Fine-Point Tweezers No. 3: straight and very fine, for placing decals, micro-components and small masks.
- Stainless Steel Curved Tweezers No. 7: curved tip for working at an angle without blocking your line of sight.
When to use each one?
- No. 3 (straight): frontal grip, lifting tape corners and positioning flat parts.
- No. 7 (curved): access to corners, photo-etch, cockpits and fragile elements.
Accessories that pair well
Complete your bench for a more comfortable, precise build:- A4 cutting mat / A3: self-healing, stable surface.
- Precision knife #11, T11 blades and flush-cut micro pliers: cut, trim and separate parts before handling them with tweezers.
- 1 mm tape, 3 mm and 10 mm: for clean masking and handling with tweezers without leaving marks.
- Sandpaper and files: finish flash and joints before painting.
Tips for use
- Don't squeeze too hard: let the fine tip do the work so you don't mark the parts.
- Lift decals/masks by raising a corner with the tweezers, supporting with your other hand.
- Keep the tips clean (isopropyl alcohol) to avoid adhesive residue.
- Work on a cutting mat with good light; alternate straight/curved tweezers depending on the angle.
