Which Vallejo putty to choose?

• Vallejo Plastic Putty 70400 (18 ml) — compact format for micro-repairs, mould marks and fine joints.
• Vallejo Plastic Putty 70401 (20 ml) — more product for long joint lines, fills and small textures.

How to use it (step by step)

1. Prepare the area: trim flash with cutting tools, refine with files and finish with sandpaper.
2. Apply little product: straight from the tube or with a spatula. For clean edges, protect with masking tape.
3. Smooth while wet: with a tool or dampened finger to save on sanding later.
4. Let dry and sand: use progressive grits (e.g. 100, 180, 280) until level.
5. Check with primer: a thin coat of primer will reveal micro-pores before colour.

• Precision tweezers to hold small parts while filling and sanding.
