Brushes | AMMO — Kolinsky precision for miniatures and kits
AMMO Kolinsky sable brushes are designed for fine detail, controlled coats and clean edge highlighting. Their sharp point, good paint load and shape recovery make them a reliable tool with both A MIG acrylics and enamels or oils.Which brush to choose
- Premium Kolinsky No. 1 — fine lines, pinpoint highlights and freehand work.
- Premium Kolinsky No. 2 — controlled base coats and smooth blends.
- AMMO Kolinsky No. 2 — balance between coverage and detail, an "all-rounder".
Take care of your brushes (step by step)
- Wash after each session on a palette, not in the jar. Use water for acrylics and finish with Vallejo Brush Cleaner 28900 for a deep clean.
- Restore points of sable or synthetic brushes with Vallejo Brush Restorer 28890.
- Shape and dry the point with your fingers and store with the cap on.
- Don't leave brushes submerged or resting on the point.
Recommended accessories and auxiliaries
- Mixing palette — prepare glazes without contaminating the jar.
- Masking tape — crisp edges without bleed.
- A MIG Acrylics | AMMO — 17 ml acrylics perfect for thin brush coats.
- Auxiliary products — thinners, flow improver and cleaners to keep fluidity and your gear in shape.
Quick tips
- Work with a "whole milk" paint consistency: add water/medium if it drags.
- Load the lower third of the hair; avoid paint reaching the ferrule.
- For freehand and edge highlighting, use No. 1; for smooth coats and blends, No. 2.
