The Land Rover Series III 109 is a British automotive icon and a milestone in the history of off-road vehicles. Developed after World War II, the first version was introduced in 1947. This model stands out for its 4×4 traction system and sturdy design, built to handle challenging terrains with reliability.

Its aluminum body combines lightweight construction with resistance to corrosion, enhancing durability over time. By 1971, when the Series III was launched, more than one million Land Rovers had been produced. This model was available in two main versions: the standard model and the long wheelbase version.

Due to its remarkable versatility, the Land Rover served both military and civilian purposes. During the 1970s, it was also manufactured under license in Spain by Santana Motor.
