Description
Faded Olive Green Vallejo 73122: greenish dusting and natural OD camouflage weathering
Faded Olive Green Vallejo 73122 is an extra-fine powder pigment designed for greenish earth and dirt effects, patinas over Olive Drab and organic wear with a natural finish. Its muted, desaturated olive green tone helps unify surfaces painted in OD or military green, adds depth and eases transitions towards greys, ochres and siennas. The fine grain size allows smooth glazes and transitions over metal, plastic or resin, and its non-flammable nature makes it safe to use indoors. The 35 ml jar goes a long way over multiple weathering projects and dries without unwanted shine.
For dry application, place the pigment with a soft brush wherever dust and dirt would naturally collect by gravity (horizontal surfaces, recesses, tracks and running gear). Blend with a clean brush to soften panels or break up uniform finishes. If you want light fixation without losing texture, touch the pigment with a brush dampened in pigment fixer/binder; for more volume, mix it with binder to obtain a paste and create crusts and buildups. Compatible with water, acrylics and varnishes; clean tools with water and soap.

Suggested uses: on military vehicles with Olive Drab/NATO Green schemes it creates greenish dusting on lower hulls, fenders and tracks; in temperate and forest dioramas it reproduces damp earth with a green tint, roadside ditches and paths; in urban and stone scenery it adds greenish patinas on walls, curbs and shaded areas. Alternate layers with ochres, siennas and greys, sealing when needed to preserve the layered effect.
