Burnt Umber Vallejo 73110: warm dark earth and intense aged effects
Extra-fine powder pigment designed for dark brown dirt, dried grease and earthy deposits with a natural finish. Its warm dark brown tone adds depth in recesses and ties different dust tones together, making it easy to transition into black, siennas and oxides. The fine grain allows for glazes and smooth transitions over metal, plastic or resin, and its non-flammable nature makes it safe to use indoors. The 35 ml jar is enough for multiple weathering projects and dries without unwanted shine.
For dry application, place the pigment with a soft brush wherever dirt would naturally accumulate by gravity (horizontal surfaces, recesses, tracks and running gear). Blend with a clean brush to soften panels or break up uniform areas. If you want light fixation without losing texture, touch the pigment with a brush dampened in a pigment fixer/binder; for extra volume, mix it with binder to a paste and create crusts, dried mud and heavy build-ups. Compatible with water, acrylics and varnishes; clean tools with water and soap.
