Dark Steel Vallejo 73123<\/strong> is an extra-fine powder pigment designed for dark steel<\/strong>, burnished metal<\/strong> and friction marks<\/strong> with a natural metallic look. It lets you recreate anything from matte gunmetal<\/strong> to polished steel<\/strong> along edges and moving parts. The fine grain size<\/strong> allows smooth glazes and transitions over metal, plastic or resin, and its non-flammable<\/strong> nature makes it safe to use indoors. The 35 ml jar<\/strong> goes a long way over multiple weathering<\/strong> projects and dries without unwanted shine (you can buff<\/strong> it afterwards to bring back metallic sheen).<\/p>\n

For dry application<\/strong>, place the pigment with a soft brush on areas that show wear and contact (edges, rivets, hinges, tools<\/strong>). For a stronger polished steel effect<\/strong>, gently burnish<\/strong> with a cotton bud or stiff-bristle brush.
